With the continued reduction in Covid related restrictions we expect to see more enthusiasts venturing out to the lineside and spending more time away from the computer, so we are going to put to bed the #SpottingFromHome project and look in a new direction…..

Have you gone out to photo a train because you heard about it through chat, Railcam Data, or saw it on one of our cameras?

Have you visited one of our heritage partners because you saw them on one of our cameras?

Have you stopped in any of the lineside guest houses that are hosts to one of our cameras?

Have you purchased any railway related products we have mentioned on Railcam?

If you have, then please tag us in your posts!

We would love to see how far we are reaching, other than people watching cameras.

Please feel free to keep posting those screen grabs from our cameras, and as you did with #SpottingFromHome, keep tagging us and and TOCs that are featured, but use the new hashtag.

In your posts simply tag Railcam (@railcamlive on Twitter, /railcamlive on Facebook & railcam.uk on Instagram) and include the hashtag #SawItOnRailcam

Let’s see where Railcam has taken you…….

  1. Any idea when the second camera on the Deshler OH camera will be re-activated?
This one disappeared some months ago when the computer link clearly failed but has not reappeared.
Looking at a video this week on YouTube pictures from this camera are included!
I’ve refreshed the link but nothing!
Let me know as this is one of the best cameras on the US system.

    1. Hi Gary, this is one of the cameras belonging to Virtual Railfan, and only appear on Railcam as a guest camera. You would need to contact them regarding this camera. Cheers.

  2. Sadly Crewe Camera 5, Cheshire UK is no longer on live stream but comes up with, “This live stream recording is not available”.
Must admit that watching webcam 5 has been a daily enjoyment so, any idea when 5 will be live again? Many thanks …

    1. Crewe Camera 5 is still available to Railcam subscribers via our website at http://www.railcam.uk Its was only every intended to be on YouTube as a teaser for a week or so after its launch, but as the country went into lockdown and Covid hit, we decided to leave it on there until things got back to some kind of normal. Crewe Camera 5 is a premium camera and is funded by Railcam supporters, and this is why it is available only to Railcam supporters. Crewe Camera 2 has replaced Camera 5 on our YouTube Channel. Hopefully this clears things up for you. Thank you for the feedback.
